Business networking - What is it and what can it do for me?
All current business analysis data supports the fact that 'word-of-mouth' marketing
is the best form of business building and promotion there is. Being active in a local business networking group like Business Builders Association (BBA) is like having dozens of sales people working for you - without you having to pay them any salary
or commission.
How does it work, What is our purpose and overview
We meet twice a month, have a structured meeting, and learn about our fellow members not only on a professional level but also on a personal level. The familiarity keeps you in the front of each member's mind's eye. Trust is built. This makes it easier to refer you. We learn about what is a good referral for you and likewise, you learn what is a good referral for everyone else and build a long term relationship. In effect, we get trained on our educational moments from professionals on how to become each others sales force.
Our fellow members will be carrying your business card and/or phone number and recommending your services to friends, family, business associates, clients and customers they meet every day!
We also learn valuable new marketing skills and develop better speaking skills via special guests we bring in occasionally.
Instead of going door-to-door doing "cold calls" or "smiling and dialing", trying to
get a "cold lead", we all try to supply each other with qualified "warm" referrals.
The difference is this: the potential customer has already been told about you and
your services by a fellow member. Furthermore, that member will have also already asked the person for their contact info and given them all your contact info and told them to expect your call.
It can't get any better than that unless they close the deal for you!
This method of contact leads to more successful sales as you are more likely to be viewed as a credible and trusted professional in your field. Why? You came highly recommended by someone who knew about you, your company, and your company's products and services.
Geographically speaking, we have members and visitors
coming from all over the MetroWest area.
From Rte. 9 down to RI and from Rte. 495 to 128.
